My hypnobirthing experience was the most empowering moment of my life!

After wanting to avoid an induction this time I went into labour at 39 + 2. Being able to labour at home was amazing, I had all my affirmations set up around the house, was able to use the shower and the bath and i felt so comfortable and relaxed listening to the tracks (prompts for birthing was pretty much on repeat).

 

After labouring at home for about 10 hours we decided it was time to go to the hospital where I was only 4cm - however with each surge I could feel baby moving down and I knew things were progressing very quickly! Before I knew it I was in transition, I must admit I did lose control a bit at this stage and put my thongs on ready to walk out of the hospital (not sure where I was going to go ) I made it into the birthing suite just in time, my body naturally started pushing with each surge so I jumped on the bed on all 4s and in 7 mins I caught my baby boy Max! It was the most empowering moment of my life feeling every sensation and it was the birth I'd dreamed of!

 

I also want to add that I hired a tens machine and found that helped enormously throughout the early stages.
